Can someone answer this

There are four dissociative disorders: Dissociative Amnesia, Dissociative Fugue, Depersonalization Disorder, and Dissociative Identity Disorder. These disturbances are characterized by profound alterations of consciousness and memory. A person’s sense of identity and his/her perception of reality are impaired.

Locate a professional website that discusses dissociative disorders to assist you in developing your reply to this discussion (such as www.apa.org, www.counseling.org, www.mayoclinic.com or www.nami.org).  Compare and contrast two of the dissociative disorders. In your own words, how would you cope with a loss of memory or identity?  What insights does the source you located provide?

For SolutionsPro

SolutionsPro here is Part II of the Psychology assignment as we discussed. Thank you.Part II DB Responses (3):Research Based Treatments (From the Instructor)
Hello Everyone,When you are creating your posts for this week, please include Research Based treatment approaches.  This means you have to look up whatever mental illness you have selected and find out what the treatments are.  This part is not an opion but based on research.  This means you will have a citation and reference in your posts if you wish to get full credit.Blake FalkenthalRe:Unit5 – Discussion Board The mental illness that I find most interesting is schizophrenia due to my cousin being affected by it.  The manner in which he changed seemingly overnight from being the person that I knew all my life to someone that was a stranger was bewildering.  However this is rather common affliction to affect the elderly and those reaching middle age (Jablensky, Sartorius Ernberg, 1992).  The amount of factors that have been associated with causing this illness is extremely wide which also leads me to believe that there is not a real known cause and that psychologists are merely finding commonalities between cases.  Psychologists have blamed the cause of schizophrenia on environmental factors such as stress put upon the mother during pregnancy to cannabis use (Chadwick, Hurd & Miller, 2013). I believe that the treatment that my cousin was receiving was ample.  The biggest hurdle he had to cross was he would discontinue the use of his medication after he felt he had leveled out.  Following his stoppage of medication he would relapse to his previous state of hearing auditory hallucinations.  When this occurred he would sometimes have to be put back into a hospital till his medications were able to take effect again.  The overall stigma surrounding the various types of mental illness has changed dramatically within society and is a positive step forward to finding better treatment methods.ReferencesChadwick B., Hurd Y. Why or why not?  I think modern day society do have appropriate treatments but not appropriate diagnostics, not appropriate teachings and understandings of what a mental illness really is and until people learn that then the medication, counseling services, and psych’s are really not useful because these days everyone has to find some type of common ground and some type of stability among others but everyone do not learn or interact the same as others so hopefully with a little more studies and teachings things can get better for people with mental illnesses.                | [removed]class=css-1j18aoo7 years agoclass=css-1j18aoo12.03.2014class=css-1j18aoo15Report Issue

“FOR NJOSH ONLY”

My section is on this: Evolutionary Theory and Interpersonal Skills Weaknesses- Summary of what this looks like.Evolutionary personality theory focuses on the why of behavior, rather than the how of biological models, or the what of descriptive taxonomies. It is “best regarded as a theory about the origins, rather than the content of human nature. It has been described as providing a grand framework that “links the field with what is known about the processes that govern all forms of life [and identifies] the central human goals and the psychological and behavioral strategic means deployed to obtain these goals. Evolutionary psychology is simply psychology that is informed by the additional knowledge that evolutionary biology has to offer, in the expectation that understanding the process that designed the human mind will advance the discovery of its architecture.            Create a 10- to 12-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation, with detailed speaker notes, on the strengths and limitations of the assigned theory in explaining individuals’ behavior. Address the following:Describe how the theory affects an individual’s personality.Explain how the theory influences interpersonal relationships.Format your presentation consistent with APA guidelines

Kids and Competency

Psychologists often provide recommendations regarding criminal justice practices in an effort to implement more effective reforms. Although each state has provisions for a juvenile justice system due to the fundamental differences between children and adults, many of those states utilize the adult competency standards to determine if a child is able to stand trial for an offense. The National Juvenile Justice Network has produced policy guidelines to help states create separate statutes for determining the competency of a juvenile. After reading “Competency to Stand Trial in Juvenile Court: Recommendations for Policymakers,” as part of your weekly reading assignment, locate and analyze the statutes in a state of your choice (i.e. your state of birth or where you would like to live). State statutes can be found  https://www.law.cornell.edu/states/listing . In your chosen state, did the legislature already create a separate standard for juveniles? Does the adult competency statute mention any differences for juveniles? How would you advise your local politician regarding this issue? Please write no more than two (2) pages, using APA format.

Developmental Psychology

Topic: We like to have things in systems and theories. It gives us a framework to work with as we try to understand the world around us in many areas of life. You will find 5 major developmental theories (3 grand theories and 2 newer theories) presented in your reading assignment. After studying these theories, you will discover that they each have a distinct perspective on human development and how experiences and behaviors change over time.
